MrTraumaTalks Exposes the Truth Behind Trauma, Scammers, and Why Mellie and the Pandemic is the Book the World Needs Now

Rahul K. Maharaj, professionally known as MrTraumaTalks, has built one of the most powerful mental health advocacy platforms of the modern era. From books to podcasts, from international speaking stages to the bright lights of Broadway, he has turned his personal journey through trauma into a global movement for truth, resilience, and healing. As the CEO of “Your Trauma Talks”, Maharaj leads an organization that began as a personal mission and has grown into a multimedia force, uniting trauma survivors, mental health professionals, and advocates from every corner of the globe.

The Book That Defines a Generation

Maharaj’s children’s book, Mellie and the Pandemic, is more than literature,  it is living history. Inspired by true events, the story captures the raw emotions of children during COVID-19: the isolation, the resilience, the community spirit, and the lessons that will shape an entire generation, most importantly it teaches everyone “Change is inevitable". Maharaj believes Mellie is a cultural milestone, much like The Great Gatsby was in its time, underappreciated when first released, but destined to be recognized as essential. Just as J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter didn’t reach its cultural peak until the films brought it to global audiences, Maharaj insists *Mellie and the Pandemic* will one day stand as the defining book of the COVID-19 era. Available now on Amazon and a special sale till christmas for the paperback at Barnes and Noble only, Mellie and the Pandemic is not only a powerful teaching tool for children but also a reminder to adults of how deeply the pandemic affected the youngest among us. As an author, Rah "MrtrauamaTalks" have written *Untold Stories Hidden Truths* and *Mellie and the Pandemic*, and MrTraumaTalks "Rah" is very proud to be a #1 international bestselling author of *Elevate Your Visibility* and *The Art of Connection: 360 Days of Abundance*

Fighting Back Against Scammers

The journey to this point hasn’t been easy. Like many visionaries, Maharaj has been targeted by scammers in the growing mental health and coaching industry. After losing $12,500 in one scam where they promised to feature him on Good Morning America and another $5,000 in false promises, he realized the system was flooded with people exploiting trauma for profit causing mental stress and unnecessary trauma. It  didn't stop there as he witnessed many posed as life coaches as all they saw is the dollar bills after 2020. Instead of giving up, he created his own path. Out of those painful lessons came the “Your Trauma Talks” Conference on Broadway,  an annual event in Times Square that brings authenticity back to the stage, where he also features his speakers and change makers on the jumbotron in Times Square NYC. And this is history. No one has ever brought a mental health conference to Broadway in a theater before. We have drama on Broadway  but now, for the first time, we have trauma. Maharaj turned the same stage where the world comes to be entertained into a stage where the world comes to heal.

The Multimedia Force of MrTraumaTalks

Maharaj reaches audiences through his expanding podcast network:
  • Mental Health Bytes: offering practical tips and real education on mental wellness. With an award Winning Psychiatrist from India “Dr. Aninda Sidhana”.
  • Trauma Behind the Glamour:  co-hosted with the spectacular Nicole Cornetti (Model/Actress), this groundbreaking series exposes the hidden struggles of public figures behind their curated lives. Nicole’s authenticity, talent, and courage have helped shape the podcast into one of the most respected spaces for honest dialogue.
Together, these podcasts cut through the noise, giving survivors and listeners a place where their truths are not only heard but celebrated.

Music, Partnership, and Recognition

Maharaj’s advocacy also flows through music. Under Rah’s Music, he has delivered stunning performances and collaborations that prove healing can come through melody just as powerfully as words. Especially Lady Gaga’s (Shallow) which he uses as a tool when he sings to let others know they are all “Far from the Shallow now” A highlight of this journey has been the support of his partner Freddy Flores (Model/Actor), the co-organizer of “Your Trauma Talks”. Together, they’ve not only appeared on billboards in Times Square, New York City but also created breathtaking projects like their rendition of “Unchained Melody” which was also nominated for an award. Their artistry and resilience were further recognized when their music video “Wicked Game: A Heartbreak Christmas” won the prestigious Telly Award. Maharaj credits Freddy as a vital force in building the movement, bringing creativity, loyalty, and vision that have elevated “Your Trauma Talks” onto the world stage.

Global Advocate, Broadway Legacy

From Paris to Bangkok, Maharaj has spoken to audiences about one central truth: Trauma does not define you. You can rise again because “Your are not Alone” And nowhere is this message clearer than on Broadway in Times Square, where the annual “Your Trauma Talks” Conference shines a spotlight on survivors, artists, and professionals. These events are not about money, status, or empty promises. They are about purpose, giving voice to the voiceless and hope to those still searching.

Guided by a Simple Philosophy

Everything Maharaj builds, from books to music to conferences, stems from one philosophy: “What is meant for you shall never pass you by, and what passes you by was never meant for you.” When asked what drives him, Maharaj explains with a timeless truth: “There once was a man who had the blues because he had no shoes, and down the street he met a man who had no feet”. When you think your problem is huge, someone else is going through something worse. So appreciate what you have, know it’s all temporary, and keep pushing forward. As MrTraumaTalks he wants you to know “YOU CAN, YOU SHALL AND YOU WILL” It’s this belief that makes him more than just an author, speaker, or performer. It makes him the beating heart of a movement.
