America’s 250th birthday is just weeks away, and the Tampa Bay region is celebrating with events expected to be bigger than ever.
From fireworks and drone shows to live music, food vendors and family-friendly activities, communities across the bay are preparing to mark Independence Day.

Tampa
Julian B. Lane Park
The City of Tampa’s “Liberty by the Bay” celebration begins July 4 at 4 p.m. at Julian B. Lane Park.
The free event is open to the public and will feature activities for all ages, including a kids zone, food trucks, a beer garden, live music, DJ entertainment, a patriotic pet show, a water ski show on the Hillsborough River and a Kids Liberty procession.
The celebration will end with a 250-drone light show followed by fireworks.
Attendees can check the city’s event schedule online for specific times.
Armature Works
Armature Works is hosting a free Fourth of July celebration open to all ages.
The day begins at 10 a.m. with a muscle car show, followed by festivities starting at 5 p.m. with live music through 10 p.m.
The event will include a water ski show, holiday boat parade, hot dog eating competition and fireworks at 9 p.m.
While the event is free, attendees can purchase upgraded experiences, including VIP pier access, premium seating and lawn seating options.

Clearwater
Clearwater will celebrate America’s birthday with a two-day festival at Coachman Park.
The celebration begins July 3 with a laser light show, followed by a fireworks display on July 4.
The two-day event will include a children’s zone, musical performances, buskers, local food vendors and more.
On July 4, a talent show will begin at 6 p.m. Contestants can apply online.
Both the laser light show and fireworks display are scheduled for 9:15 p.m.
St. Petersburg
St. Petersburg will host its sixth annual “The Fourth” Independence Day Celebration at the St. Pete Pier beginning at 4 p.m.
The event will feature the St. Pete Pier Run, craft beer garden, Uncle Sam’s Market, family fun zone, food trucks, live music and roaming entertainers.
The fireworks show is scheduled for 9 p.m. and will be visible along the downtown waterfront.
The city said this year’s fireworks display will be double the scale of previous years.
The event is free to attend, but attendees can reserve premium viewing areas online.
Residents can expect fireworks lighting up the Tampa Bay skies, live entertainment and plenty of red, white and blue celebrations.
