The new city center in Tampa is set to open to the public officially today, 18th of October 2023.

The new facility, located at 255 East Hanna Ave. in East Tampa, has been under construction for several years.

The 161,000-square-foot structure will house numerous city offices, as well as a community gathering place and a career development center.

Mayor Jane Castor will officiate at the facility's opening ceremony on Wednesday morning.

The project's ultimate purpose, according to city authorities, is to boost efficiencies throughout local operations, bringing government closer to its inhabitants while also driving economic development and elevating nearby communities.

The city's construction services and neighborhood enhancement offices, as well as the business tax, code enforcement, housing and community development, and human rights departments, will be housed in the new complex.
