Registration is now open for the 33rd Ride and Run With the Stars, the largest law enforcement-sponsored holiday fundraiser in the Tampa Bay area. The event will take place Nov. 21 at Safety Harbor Waterfront Park.

Hosted by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, this year's event will feature several additions made possible by the new venue.

Participants can register for the traditional 5K, 1-mile Family Fun Run and 10-mile bike ride. New this year there will be a 10K run and a 62-mile bike ride.

Early bird registration is $50 for all races except the Family Fun Run and runs from July 1 through Aug. 31. Beginning Sept. 1, registration increases to $60.

The Family Fun Run costs $45 for adults and $35 for children ages 12 and younger.

More than a race, Ride and Run With the Stars raises money to support children and families throughout Pinellas County during the holiday season. According to the sheriff's office, last year's event raised enough money to provide food, clothing, books and toys for 482 children and 201 families.

Those who do not wish to participate in a race can still support the fundraiser by making an online donation or registering as an event sponsor.
