Local coffee roaster Kahwa Coffee will officially host its grand opening at its newest location in Oldsmar on Monday, July 8, marking another milestone for the Tampa Bay-based company founded by Raphael and Sarah Perrier.
The new drive-thru location at 3502 Tampa Road will celebrate with free small drinks for all customers throughout the day, along with giveaways and the chance to win coffee for an entire year. The festivities begin at 9 a.m., with a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for 10 a.m. featuring special guests.
Kahwa Coffee has experienced significant growth in recent years, surpassing 20 locations as the local coffee chain continues its expansion across Florida. The Oldsmar store represents the company's ongoing commitment to serving the Tampa Bay community with what they describe as premium quality offerings.
"We're very excited to be a part of that community," Perrier said in a recent phone conversation. "We think it's going to be a fun addition to the area."
According to the company's website, "Kahwa's reputation is built on quality and consistency of the product. 100% premium quality Arabica beans are selected from different origins around the world, these beans are then blended and skillfully roasted to produce a complex flavor that allows each origin to yield its most distinct palate."
The Oldsmar location will operate as a drive-thru only facility, at least initially, providing convenient access for customers in the area. The company has built a loyal following throughout the region with its cold brews, seasonal lattes, and creative drink offerings, including recent limited-time menu items like the Lucky Pistachio Latte and Irish Cream Cold Brew.
Kahwa Coffee has distinguished itself in the Tampa Bay market through various unique concepts, including art-filled cafes, a shipping container drive-thru in St. Petersburg, and dog-friendly locations. The brand continues to maintain its local identity while expanding its reach across the state.
