Downtown Tampa drivers should expect road closures June 1–6

Drivers in downtown Tampa should expect overnight road closures along E. Polk Street beginning June 1 as CSX crews complete a week-long maintenance project at multiple intersections through June 6.

Starting Mon. June 1, a week-long maintenance project will take place along E. Polk St. between N. Jefferson St. and N. Ashley Drive.

The work will occur in 24-hour segments from 6 a.m. to 6 a.m., requiring temporary street closures. CSX will complete work in each area before moving to the next location.

Scheduled closures include:

  • N. Jefferson St. and E. Polk St. — June 1

  • N. Pierce St. and E. Polk St. — June 2

  • N. Morgan St. and E. Polk St. — June 3

  • N. Marion St., N. Franklin St. and E. Polk St. — June 4

  • N. Ashley Drive and E. Polk St. — June 5

City officials said drivers should avoid construction zones and follow posted detours. Drivers can review the latest road closures online.
